How to Receive
Accept payments through QR codes or on-chain transfers.
What is Receive?
The Receive feature allows you to accept payments in three different ways, whether from other mon8 users or external wallets.
Receive Methods
1. Ask Amount
Request a specific amount and asset from another user.
Steps:
- Navigate to Receive
- Select Ask Amount
- Choose the asset you want to receive
- Enter the specific amount
- Generate a QR code
- Share the QR code with the sender
The sender scans your QR code with their mon8 app and the payment details are pre-filled.
Quick Payments
This is the fastest way to request exact amounts from other mon8 users.
2. Ask Any
Let the sender decide what asset and amount to send you.
Steps:
- Navigate to Receive
- Select Ask Any
- Generate a QR code
- Share the QR code with the sender
The sender scans the code and chooses which asset and amount to send through mon8.
3. Receive On-Chain
Accept transfers from any external wallet or exchange (like Binance, Coinbase, etc.).
Steps:
- Navigate to Receive
- Select Receive On-Chain
- Choose the asset
- Select the network
- A QR code with your address is generated
- Share this address or QR code with the sender
Important
Always verify the network matches the sender's network. Sending on the wrong network may result in lost funds.
Tips
- For mon8-to-mon8 payments, use Ask Amount or Ask Any for instant transfers
- For exchange withdrawals, use Receive On-Chain
- Double-check the network before sharing your address
- Save frequently-used addresses for quick access
