How to Send

Transfer assets via deCash or on-chain transactions.

What is Send?

The Send feature offers two ways to transfer your digital assets: through mon8's deCash system or traditional on-chain transfers.

Send Methods

1. Send deCash

Create a digital "bill" that can be shared and claimed by anyone.

How it works:

  1. Navigate to Send
  2. Select Send deCash
  3. Choose the asset and amount
  4. Generate your deCash
  5. Share the link with the recipient
  6. Recipient claims the deCash by opening the link
Like Digital Cash

Think of deCash as sending physical cash digitally. Anyone with the link can claim it, so only share with intended recipients.

Benefits of deCash:

  • No need to know recipient's address
  • Instant claim process
  • Share via any messaging app or social media
  • Recipient doesn't need mon8 to receive (they can download to claim)

Security Notes:

  • The link contains the claim credentials
  • First person to claim gets the funds
  • Don't share publicly unless intended
  • You can check claim status in your transaction history

2. Send On-Chain

Traditional blockchain transfer to any wallet address.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Send
  2. Select Send On-Chain
  3. Choose the asset
  4. Select the network
  5. Enter recipient's wallet address (or scan QR)
  6. Enter amount
  7. Review gas fees
  8. Confirm transaction
Verify Before Sending

Always double-check the recipient's address and network. Blockchain transactions are irreversible.

Choosing the Right Method

Use deCash when:

  • Sending to someone without a wallet
  • Sharing through messaging apps
  • Want instant, gasless transfers between mon8 users
  • Don't have recipient's wallet address

Use On-Chain when:

  • Sending to external wallets (hardware wallets, exchanges)
  • Recipient prefers on-chain transactions
  • Need blockchain verification
  • Sending to smart contracts

Tips

  • For mon8 users, deCash is faster and has lower fees
  • Always verify network matches recipient's expectations for on-chain
  • Save gas by batching multiple on-chain sends
  • Check transaction history to confirm sends completed
  • Keep deCash links secure - treat them like cash
